In what would have been the fifth year of Belgravia in Bloom, the floral festival that sees the streets of Belgravia adorned with thousands of flowers, this year the festival was celebrated virtually with Belgravia’s retailers sharing their ideas for how to incorporate florals into your house in unique and inspiring ways.

The @Belgravia_Ldn channel become home to some excellent green-fingered gardening and floral arranging tips from retailers, with Grosvenor London’s landscaping team and Pimlico Road’s Daylesford sharing their expert advice for growing your favourite varieties at home.

Florist Judith Blacklock shared a glimpse into the two-week Professional Business of Floristry Course at the Judith Blacklock Flower School, covering everything from table arrangements to window displays, and corsages to flower crowns whilst another of Belgravia’s floral experts, Moyses Stevens, shared their easy tutorial to transform your selection of shop-bought and home-grown flowers into the perfect little bouquet with merely the flowers, some scissors and string.

Neill Strain created a special rainbow themed floral display outside his Motcomb Street store to say thank you to all the NHS and key worker heroes for their ongoing commitment to fighting the coronavirus pandemic. Followers of the @Belgravia_Ldn Instagram account were also able to nominate their NHS and key worker heroes to be gifted two 3 month subscriptions with Neill Strain, receiving a different stunning arrangement of flowers each month. There is still time to enter as the competition closes on 28 May.

Of course Belgravia’s beloved restaurants and bakeries got involved as well, with Dominique Ansel creating a a Pistachio & Rose Bostock, a homemade brioche soaked in rose water syrup and baked with pistachio frangipane, available to order from their website.

Muses’ Tom Aikens also showed how easy it is to incorporate florals into dishes, as he shared his favourite Elderflower infused recipes on Belgravia’s Instagram channel.
