We have been cheese specialists for thirty years and Ann-Marie was passionate about introducing farmhouse cheeses to as wide a public as possible. Throughout our history, we have sought, cared for and loved hand-made cheeses from Britain and Europe and have also made it our business to know what flatters it and makes it a new experience. Our dedicated and unique ranges of crackers, fruits, chutneys, and pickles are the result. The Fine Cheese Co., Belgravia is our first London shop venture.
We opened the doors to our Belgravia shop and À Table dining in 2016.
Christmas in Belgravia is my favourite time of year. The festive lights are always impressive and we look forward to helping our customers pick out interesting cheese selections for their Christmas feasts. The highlight last year was The Met Police Choir carolling in the Halkin Arcade.
I’d start with breakfast at The Fine Cheese Co.; I’m not sure you can beat our coffee or smashed avocado and Graceburn feta on sourdough toast. Then it’s time for a spot of shopping on Motcomb Street and Elizabeth Street. ‘Store’ at the newly opened Pantechnicon is a must-visit for me. When it’s time to relax, I like to wind down with a glass of wine at The Alfred Tennyson.
The Fine Cheese Co. of course… but I may be a little biased! The Friendship Bench in the Halkin Arcade is one of my favourite additions to Belgravia. It’s a beautiful spot and the floral arch from Neill Strain is stunning.
Belgravia has such a strong sense of community. It truly feels like a little village in the heart of the city.
