General Manager, Knut Wylde who has been in Belgravia for four and a half years knows the area like the back of his hand and loves every inch of it. Not only because it is home to The Berkeley but also because of the rich community spirit – peaceful yet vibrant. The residential feel and neighbourhood love makes it a home from home for him and that feeling extends to The Berkeley.
His favourite areas are Kinnerton Street, Motcomb Street and Eccleston Yards, particularly because of the exquisite architecture, independent shops and eclectic pop up events. Knut’s personal favourites are the annual Carol Concert at St Paul’s, Knightsbridge and the Motcomb Street Party.
When he has a moment to himself, you’ll find him shopping for candles and gifts at the irresistible Rachel Vosper and he enjoys visiting The Scent Library where you can create bespoke blends for candles and home fragrances. A visit to Olivomare, his favourite Sardinian seafood restaurant, is a treat - his favourite lunch is Linguine Al Grancho - and he also loves to stop off for a drink at his local, The Grenadier, which was originally built in 1720 and was the officers’ mess for the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards.
