London Craft Week is an annual event that showcases exceptional craftsmanship through a journey-of-discovery programme featuring hidden workshops and unknown makers alongside celebrated masters, famous studios, galleries, shops and luxury brands.
The Pimlico Road Design District, in collaboration with Elle Decoration, presents the Pimlico Road Series for London Craft Week 2020.
A community of world-class craftspeople, artisans, curators and makers, the Pimlico Road Design District is the apex of inspiring design and best-in-class interiors. From sculptors to woodworkers, embroidery to antiques, textiles to crystals, Pimlico Road is a melting pot and meeting place for craft and design. Pimlico Road is unique in that not only will you find the names of world-renowned designers on the street, but the designers themselves, resulting in a creative neighbourhood where every shop window tells a different story of style, intrigue and authentic craft.
Located in historic Belgravia, Pimlico Road has long been as an area for brands who cater for the discerning shopper, interior designer and collector. The district maintains a uniquely village feel while being a short walk from Chelsea, Sloane Square and Victoria.
The Pimlico Road Series for London Craft Week showcases the district as home to many of the world’s most renowned design brands, with inspiring talks and panels, interactive workshops and fascinating demonstrations with the makers themselves. Stop by for a tassel-making workshop at Robert Kime, a pop-up by curator Sarah Myerscough as she unveils The Natural Room, craftsmen of Collier Webb discussing the process of hand-applied antiquing, a discussion on why craft and traditional techniques matter at Cox London, master craftsmen demonstrating the art of hand embroidery at Chelsea Textiles, a showcase at The Odd Chair Company about innovative approaches to sustainable furniture making and a live painting demonstration in the window of Linley.
Grosvenor Britain & Ireland is proud to continue its support for London Craft Week and to celebrate the exquisite talent and artistry of the Pimlico Road Design District.
