Wildcard is a company that started life at The Oxford School of Drama, when a group of actors decided to take control of their creative fate. In 2015 they became incorporated and in 2016 an official charity.
The company is known for creating socially engaging pieces of theatre and have taken shows right across the country. However, they have longed for a space to call their own; a place where theatre can be made freely in a supportive, interested and comfortable environment.
Joint Artistic Director, Joseph, had this to say "We are so thankful to now have a space of our own, to create work and support like-minded theatre-makers as they develop and grow their careers. We want to be the home for actors, playwrights, designers and directors - the type of place we craved starting out four year ago"
Wildcard intend to run theatre workshops for the local community (and beyond) as well as provide rehearsal space(s) for those seeking to produce a show.
